My mom and some family members are making a fuss, that they have to go into Macy's for my registery. I shop at Macy's all the time, they have great sales and coupons. I actually picked them because they were CHEAPER then bed, bath and beyond. I don't want to register anywhere else and not to be snotty but I don't shop at walmart, kmart or target unless I need an emerancy box of cat litter or pack of tampons. It's not like it's Nordstroms or Bloomingdales? I don't understand what the big deal is?? It's just a department store and I made sure I have lots of $10-20 small items and gave a huge range of prices, so people didn't feel they had to spend a lot of money.

this is a question mainly for the ladies, but the guys can answer too if they wish. do you consider yourself a wise shopper?. my girlfriend and i are on a fixed income and we try to stretch our income as far as it will go. we pay attension to the prices, we shop at dollar stores, we cut coupons out of flyers and we go only when we have to. the place where we live, we dont have a department store(at least not yet), they are going to put a wal-mart here, but we have to drive 30 miles to the nearest wal-mart. when i need a part for my car, i call around for the cheapest prices and i work on my own car. i was wondering if theres anything we can do besides what were doing more to save money. i know your busy with what you have to do, so if iam bothering you, iam sorry, i was just looking for answers on how do any of you cut corners to make ends meet?. thanks for your time, i appreciate you taking time out to answer my question! do you splurge or are you a wise shopper? thanks again.
