Dirt Cheap Coupons

We just registered at a department store this weekend. They gave us a whole bunch of coupons for 10% off any registry item that we can give to our guests to use when they buy us gifts.

I feel a little funny about this -- it seems weird to send them out with the invitations....should I give them to the people who are throwing showers for me and have them give them out in the shower invites? Only about half of the people on the invite list would be invited to the showers -- most are scattered across the country. (At least, I assume that we only invite people to a shower if they are likely to attend? Or does everyone on the guest list get invited?)

Should we send them out with the save-the-dates?

I feel like what we're "supposed" to do is to give them to our parents and friends and have them distribute the coupons to everyone else. But, first of all, that seems like an inconvenience to our parents. And second, many of our friends are "stand-alone" friends (meaning that they don't know anyone else who will be invited). And, like I said, most people are out of town.

My fiance says that it shouldn't matter if we send them out ourselves with the save-the-dates or invitations because it's better to give people a 10% discount than to tiptoe around it and have them have to pay full price.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

I am very upset in how there is an overwhelming amount of clothing options for girls in department stores. I like my son to wear a sophisicated, classy, sporty urban look. The only clothes that come close to these looks are at babygap and children's place in pittsburgh, pa. but unfortunately they charge an arm and a leg for baby clothes which only has but so much fabric to it! do yal feel theres a market out there for an all boys clothing store?
I want to be able to buy clothes for my son without having to use coupons or wait for good sales to get the clothing I want and i dont think anybody else with son's should have to either. girls clothes dont cost that much!

I have one other department card (Macy's), and two credit cards. I've never been late on a payment and have always paid the full amount before the due date, thus never having had an outstanding balance or having been charged a late fee or interest.

My question is, if I open this line of credit basically to get the coupons and only use it if I have to (if they have specials where you get a discount only if you use your card) and pay it all off before it's due, how will this affect my credit rating?

We get the large envelope of Valpak coupons at least once a month and they have all kinds of coupons in there for dentist visits, oil changes, etc. Also, we get some sort of local newspaper once a week with pizza coupons, department store ads, etc.

Do you pay attention to this stuff and use it at a later date, or do you immediately throw it away?

Girls have several clothing stores to choose from but little boys dont. the market im gearing towards is only males from newborn to toddler with inexpensive clothing in it. including coats, ties, suits, hats, wallets, etc.
